About the Rivertown Trails Coalition
Out of a strong interest in health and outdoor recreation, a Trails Working Coalition formed that is committed to the work needed to develop trails in and around Osceola. Since 2013 this group has analyzed the existing trails and designed a road map for developing an integrated and comprehensive system of trails. These dedicated stakeholders are representatives from the Osceola schools, Wild River Fitness, health practitioners, trail builders, the Village Board and the Chamber. They represent a wide variety of trail users from recreational walkers to avid mountain bikers.
Our mission is to have a trail within 10 minutes of every front door.
The trail network in and around Osceola is expanding through the efforts of active citizens like you. Continued success depends on the enthusiasm, volunteerism and financial support of the community.
A strong public/private partnership is required to create trails that are accessible and connect to the incredible larger trails of our region including the Gandy Dancer and WI Interstate park.
Volunteers are the foundation of support for the trail system. Citizens are helping to shape our community for current and future generations!
Getting involved is fun! We have a variety of opportunities from a one-time trail building day, to cutting buck-thorn, to trail events and planning. Would you like to volunteer for building trails or serve on a committee? Just contact us!
